Since 1991, Salem Community Foundation has supported the educational aspirations of local students by awarding scholarships made possible through the support of individuals and families. The successful scholarship program provides meaningful awards to help students realize their higher education goals and prepare them for today's global job market.

Salem Community Foundation Scholarship:

The Salem Community Foundation Scholarship is designed to assist current students enrolled in a post-secondary undergraduate educational program. Eligibility: 2.5 cumulative GPA. A copy of the student's current transcript or the year-end report card indicating a cumulative GPA must be attached to the application, minimum class load - 6 Semester Hours or 9 Quarter Hours, resident of Salem City / Perry Township, and students are eligible for review three times for Bachelor’s degree work.

Salem Community Foundation Ministerial Scholarship

In 2008, a Ministerial Scholarship Fund was established with the Salem Community Foundation. The fund will provide scholarship aid to assist persons who will spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This scholarship is extended to those individuals who wish to enter the fields of the Ministry, Christian Education, Youth Ministry, or a closely related field. The anonymous donor of the Ministerial Scholarship recognizes the financial impact of a career in the ministry. It is the wish of the donor to support those individuals who display a sincere desire to dedicate oneself to a career path as defined by the guidelines of the scholarship. Guidelines and eligibility include: awards are valid at Bible Colleges, undergraduate and graduate schools, applicants must submit indication of financial need, academic performance, reference letters, and a personal statement. The Ministerial Scholarship does not discriminate on the basis of religious denomination, age, sex race, or geography.
